Many of our favorite authors have websites. Some are found at
their publishers' sites, others are put together by the writers
themselves. Some are fan sites. Most of them are fun to visit because
they give you insight into the writer's life and interests. I like to
know about the writers and usually enjoy their sites. They often
provide links of their own to give you even more to look into.
Robert Crais has a great website. His sense of humor, so evident
in his Elvis Cole series, is also found in the pages of his website.
He often jumps in on the chat room conversations, too. Both my sister
and I have met him in person, and he is the nicest, best-looking, and
most gracious person you'd ever want to meet. (Did I mention
best-looking?) Those qualities come across on his site, too.
Michael Connelly has a good website, too, as does Marne Davis Kellogg. I like Terence Faherty's site, too, and enjoy reading
installments of his upcoming books there. For another humorous site,
go to Tim Cockey's webpage. The intro is hysterically funny, and
reminds me how hard I laughed when I read "The Hearse You Came in
On".
One more that I recommend is Earlene Fowler's webpage. If you
enjoy her books, you'll love her webpage. It's very nicely presented,
has beautiful photographs of the quilts she writes about and is
inspired by, and gives the reader lots of interesting background
about her life and family. I visited every link and enjoyed all of
them.
So here is the list. Again, it is not complete. I will add names
and pages as I find them. But this is still a pretty fair offering of
sites, so I hope you start clicking.
